Days 20 and 21: Hoorah
To be honest, it has been a rough week. I'm not sure what makes it a rough week, but I have just been feeling a little frustrated with things lately, like there's no end to the madness in sight. Skipping a few days of workouts didn't help, because I just felt like there was no outlet for my frustration. Getting back into it today was a big help and I felt like I was able to blow off some steam. Glad to be making progress, but I wish I was a little further along. Oh well, the end will be here soon enough.

Day 19: Getting things done
Mondays are my new Saturday, so today has been a day of getting work out of the way and fitting in my workout a little earlier than normal. Instead of the evening workout, I did an afternoon workout, which makes the evening feel a little more relaxing. In addition to my workout, I was able to make some progress on my side job of soldering circuit boards. It feels great to be still going on this workout despite the speed bumps along the way. I have also been trying to eat just a little bit healthier by cutting down on the processed food and carbs, and increasing on fruits and vegetables. I'm not extremely consistent with the dieting, but at least it makes me think a little more before I shove something unhealthy in my mouth.

Day 18: Finally over the cold!
The last 5 days I skipped because of a miserable cold. It's no fun being sick, and I just wasn't tough enough to push through and workout while I was coughing, sneezing, and had a sore throat. My wife Jocey had it worse off than me and it turned into a sinus infection, so I was thankful it didn't get that bad. Today was the first day getting back into it after the five day break and man it felt good. Well good after I was done at least! I was afraid I had lost the endurance built up over the last 17 days, but I was still able to push hard all the way through.

Day 17: Blah...
Writing about what was done in the workout is getting old so instead I'll write about how I feel. Around this time of year, everybody starts passing around colds and the flu. Luckily my work paid me to get a flu shot so I don't have to worry about one of the two. The common cold however, nobody is immune from, including myself. The whole family wasn't feeling well today. I think my son is just teething, and my wife and I are either getting, or getting over colds. It made this workout a little tougher than normal, but I stuck through it and pushed to the end. My wife is starting to workout too which is even more motivation for me to keep going. I'm definitely proud of her and hope she'll keep up with it.

Day 16: It's a New Year
Yesterday was the start of 2011 which will be a great year. That's not to imply 2010 was in any way a bad year! Today being January 2, I had a couple days of rest and then started back up with the next workout in line: Cardio Recovery. Love the feeling you get from all the deep muscle work after you're done, but the actual process of holding lunges and squats for a long time is brutal. I like all the hip work in this video, as my hips are usually pretty tight by nature. I once had a chiropractor tell me I had arthritis in my hips but I don't think he was looking at the correct X-ray! Well, 2011 is going to be a wonderful year as I continue on this journey.

Days 14 and 15: Still Chugging Along
By this time in the workout plan I've always given up, but not this round. I've been taking a day off here and there, but I've learned that doesn't mean I have to give up all together. It's okay to take a break! The last two days were Plyo Cardio Circuit and Pure Cardio. On the Pure Cardio days they want you to add in a crazy ab workout video, but for time purposes, I'm skipping that part. If I ever do this again maybe I'll try to add it in, but it is a significant time commitment that I'm not willing to make. I feel great about this workout and I've been pushing hard. It is certainly making a difference in my hearts ability to recover as it ramps up and down. Eventually I'll be moving into the "Max" videos which sound like longer and harder workouts. I'll let you know what it's like soon!

Day 13: Fit Test #2
Christmas is over so it's back to working out. Completed Fit Test #2 with some pretty good results. Looks like I improved in everything except Globe Jumps. Have to work on those for next Fit Test!
